What a joy to be able to see a story come to life not just in words but as pictures on a page! This years it's been a dream in my heart to not only start to finish all the many stories I have "in progress", but also step out in my artistic passion to create illustrations for them, and with time, also start to take the steps necessary to publish them as books in whatever format that might take.
Thank you that I can share this Blog page with you! It's the first, easiest step for me to start practicing the act of "publishing" and taking the courage to share my stories with the world. The illustrations included below were created through a combination of watercolour techniques as well as digital illustration work in Adobe Photoshop.

Wat 'n vreugde om 'n storie nie net in woorde nie maar ook in prentjies te sien lewe kry! Hierdie jaar is daar 'n droom in my hart om nie net my stories te begin klaar skryf nie (ek het só baie wat "in wording" is), maar ook illustrasies vir hulle te skep en dan, met tyd, ook die stappe te neem om te kyk hoe om die boeke te publisheer.
Dankie dat ek hierdie "Blog page" met jou kan deel - dit is 'n eerste, maklike stap vir my om solank my stories met die wêreld te deel! Die illustrasies hieronder is geskep deur 'n kombinasie van waterverf tegnieke en elemente asook digitale illustrasie in Adobe Photoshop.

Here are also the initial sketches that I had included in the Story page when I first posted it. The timeframe between these earlier illustrations and most recent ones is about 6 months of dedicated work on creating various characters and styles.
