About my "Art to Go" kit

Some of my favourite creative moments have been grabbed "on the go" - a stolen moment while watching my kids play, or pressing pause while having a cup of coffee in the midst of a busy day... An "Art to Go" habit isn't so much about the finished product but rather that moment of immersing yourself in the beauty of watercolour unfolding on the page, and the memories encapsulated in that one, quick sketch...

 

Meet the "Art to Go" kit - everything you need to take your creativity with you, all you need to do is add water! This kit is inspired by all of my favourite "on the go" Art supplies. From an aquabrush (quick to use without needing any extra water on hand) to Canson XL Watercolour paper custom bound with my own notebook designs and a hand-made cloth drawstring bag in various colours and sizes. I've also sorted out magnetic strips for the half pans so they don't shift around in the tin! The tin lid also doubles as a mixing area so you have everything you need on hand. 


Here's what's included:
🎨 Aquabrush x 1
🎨 Tin palette with 6 colours in magnetised half pans
🎨 A5 notebook custom bound with Canson XL Watercolour 300gsm paper (16 pages)
🎨 waterproof Pigma micron pen x 1
🎨 White gelly roll pen x 1
🎨 Small spray bottle x 1
🎨 Piece of kitchen towel


A few tips when starting:
⭐️ See how many colours you can mix! You'd be surprised how far these 6 colours can get you ;) 
⭐️ When the paints run out, you can refill it as needed! My favourite brands of tubes are Winsor and Newton Cotman paint or Daler Rowney Aquafine 
⭐️ Start with whatever you see around you as inspiration! The colour of the sky, a potted plant in the corner, or a bit of grass...
